The State of Michigan enrolled House Bill No. 6491 states that all licensed agencies must develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program by January 20, 2021.

Independent Agencies shall develop, implement, and maintaina comprehensive written infomation security program, based on the agencies risk assessment, that contains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for the protection of nonpublic information and the agencies information systems.
